Gergely Kulcsár, Hungary
Gergely Kulcsár (born March 10, 1934 in Nagyhalász) is a retired Hungarian athlete, who competed in the javelin throw. He won three Olympic medals during his career: two bronze and one silver.
Between 1955 and 1972 he was selected to the Hungarian National Team 55 times. Participated in the Olympics four times, winning the silver in Tokyo, 1964. He was the flag bearer of the Hungarian team in the 1964, 1968 and 1972 Olympics.
Former Hungarian javelin record holder, bettered the Hungarian record many times. He was the first Hungarian to throw over 80 meters and he was a Hungarian Champion eight times.
He was the coach of the Hungarian national throwing team between 1975 and 1980. He was the coach of Miklos Nemeth when Miklos won the gold at the 1976 Olympics. From 1981 to 1993 he worked in Kuwait as a Head Coach for the Kuwait national throwing team.
